Philip is certified with a Type-D class balloon certificate, which allows him to fly all types of hot air balloons – including the very largest.

Philip also holds a Danish duration record in ballooning (7 hours and 25 minutes) and has flown at altitudes of up to 20,000 feet. He is an active competition pilot, has won the Danish Championship in 2008, 2009 and 2011 and participated in the World Championship in the USA in 2012.

Balloon pilot
Arturas Kukstys

Arturas is a commercial balloon pilot, born in Lithuania. His dream of being in the air began as a child. He grew up in a small and cozy town in western Lithuania, where almost every day he saw parachutists falling from the sky. In his teens, Arturas started paragliding and discovered that he felt almost like a bird. Seeing things from the air, changes the view of everyday life. This made Arturas’ desire to see and experience different types of aircraft in different parts of the world even greater and he decided to become a balloon pilot. Arturas has flown many different types of hot air balloons in many different countries around the world, including Lithuania, Poland, Vietnam & Sri Lanka, and we are very proud to have Arturas in the DreamBalloon family.

Balloon pilot
Sebe Kruijer

Sebe is a professional balloon pilot from the Netherlands and has always had a great interest in flying. Sebe flew Ultralights in the 80’s and got infected by the “balloon virus” in 1999. Sebe bought his first balloon in 2002 and has flown as a commercial balloon pilot all over the world including India, Saudi Arabia and Italy. Sebe holds a European Balloon Pilot License and is also a certified balloon flight instructor. He has flown in many European countries and has also flown several times over the Alps. Chief Pilot
Per Helmerson
Balloon pilot
Charlotte Algotsson

Charlotte’s first balloon flight was in 1985 when, as an active skydiver, she had the opportunity to jump from a balloon. It wasn’t until 2000 that Charlotte landed in a balloon! At the time, she was working at the Swedish Transport Agency on the supervision of airlines and someone was needed to be in charge of the balloon companies, which was Charlotte. It was so interesting that in 2006 she took a certificate as a balloon pilot and has since flown both in Sweden and abroad

Balloon pilot
Christian Rylander

Christian got his balloon license in 1983, and was among the first commercial pilots to start in Sweden in 1986. Today he has completed over 1100 flights. In addition to commercial flights, Christian has a wide experience of flying over mountains and nature and he holds the Swedish altitude record of 9,914 meters (over 32,500 feet!).

Today Christian is flying for us at DreamBalloon, mainly over Gothenburg.

Balloon pilot
Nisse Kjellén

Nisse has always been interested in aviation and, like all little boys, wanted to become a pilot when he was little.
After visiting the European Balloon Championships in 1976, Nisse formed a balloon club with some colleagues at the time and since 1978 he has been a pilot.

Nisse flies most of the time in western Sweden and prefers to fly at tree-top height over our beautiful nature but also enjoys the fantastic views from higher altitudes.

Balloon pilot
Anders Bohlin
Balloon pilot
Lars Ekstedt

Lars became a balloon pilot in 1984 and has today flown over 1200 hours. He is used to competing and has placed in both SM, NM, EM and VM. Lars is a very skilled pilot and is one of the few who can fly and navigate over Stockholm, which is an extra demanding area in terms of flight.

Lars is flying today for us at DreamBalloon, and you will meet him first of all in Stockholm.

Hot air balloon flights take place either in the hours before sunset or the hours after sunrise. During the flying season, meeting and flight times will therefore vary as they follow the timing of sunrise and sunset.

We are in the air for approximately one hour, depending on wind and weather conditions, as well as the availability of suitable landing sites, etc. However, you should allow at least four hours for the entire experience.

Hot air balloons cannot be steered. They follow the direction of the wind, and you never know exactly where you will land. After about 50 minutes, the pilot will start looking for a good landing spot.

The chase vehicle follows the balloon from the ground and aims to arrive at the landing site shortly after the balloon has landed.

We fly in many areas and you choose which flight area you want to fly in when you book your flight. In Skåne, we fly from Helsingborg, Lund, Malmö or Sjöbo. In Västra Götaland, you can choose between Gothenburg, Varberg, Uddevalla and Skaraborg, among others. Or why not try a magnificent flight over Stockholm?
