START INLAND
If the wind is easterly, we like to start at Söderåsen, e.g. in Röstånga, and soar over the beautiful nature of the ridge back towards the coast.
A very beautiful experience in the Northwest
Since Helsingborg is located directly on the Öresund, it is important that there is a straight westerly wind if we are to start there. If we are lucky, we like to start above Pålsjö forest. From there we take off slowly over Mariastaden and further out over Vasatorp and away towards Söderåsen. Wherever DreamBalloon flies in northwestern Skåne, we always have a fantastic view of Helsingborg and Helsingör. We see the ferries crossing Öresund and sometimes we even see Kronborg Castle. Looking further north, we see the clear silhouette of Kullaberg. Behind it we glimpse Hallands Väderö and Bjäre. If we look further south, Ven and Landskrona appear. If there is a southerly or northerly wind, we fly just a little further in and then pass over places like Åstorp, Klippan, Bjuv and perhaps Billesholm. We often pass several castles and many beautiful farms here.
If the wind blows from the east, it’s time for one of our favorite flights, namely from RöstÃ¥nga to Helsingborg. Starting in beautiful RöstÃ¥nga and then soaring over the beautiful nature of SöderÃ¥sen is fabulous. Skäralid with Kopparhatten and also Stenestad are experienced in a completely new way a little bit from above.
Where do we land then?
Many balloon flights land at the foot of Söderåsen near Hyllinge or Åstorp. This is where many of our flight paths meet and therefore we often land in this area. Of course, we can just as easily come up towards Klippan and Ljungbyhed or down towards Vallåkra. Wherever we land, it will be an unforgettable trip at sunset.

Hot air balloon flights take place either in the hours before sunset or the hours after sunrise. During the flying season, meeting and flight times will therefore vary as they follow the timing of sunrise and sunset.
We are in the air for approximately one hour, depending on wind and weather conditions, as well as the availability of suitable landing sites, etc. However, you should allow at least four hours for the entire experience.
Hot air balloons cannot be steered. They follow the direction of the wind, and you never know exactly where you will land. After about 50 minutes, the pilot will start looking for a good landing spot.
The chase vehicle follows the balloon from the ground and aims to arrive at the landing site shortly after the balloon has landed.
We fly in many areas and you choose which flight area you want to fly in when you book your flight. In Skåne, we fly from Helsingborg, Lund, Malmö or Sjöbo. In Västra Götaland, you can choose between Gothenburg, Varberg, Uddevalla and Skaraborg, among others. Or why not try a magnificent flight over Stockholm?
