The medieval fortress of Varberg is located right on the shoreline, sea on one side and the whole of Halland opening up behind it. From a balloon at sunrise, with the light finding the water first and then spreading slowly inland, it’s a view that’s hard to describe.
The landscape here runs from open coastline to quiet farmland and forest โ and the wind tends to reveal different sides of it on every flight. Some mornings carry you out along the Kattegat, the long sandy beaches of the Halland coast stretching below you and the open sea beyond. Others take you deeper inland, through a patchwork of blues and greens that shifts with every change in the light, past Falkenberg and the quiet countryside that most people never slow down enough to see properly.
Flights operate from two launch sites near Varberg and Falkenberg, giving our pilots the flexibility to follow the conditions on any given day.
With over 25 years of experience, they know this coastline well โ and they know exactly how to make the most of it.
Varberg should be appreciated from the right perspective โ and a balloon basket offers the best one out there.
